A COLLECTION OF MY FAVOURITE WELLNESS FINDS

WHAT IS SPARK WELLNESS?

Wellness is not one thing — it’s everything working together. SparkWellness is my journey to understanding that connection and sharing it with you.

SparkWellness started as an Instagram account, and now it has become a blog and website that I’ve created to share my love and passion for all things wellness. From movement and exercise to eating whole foods and healing your body from the inside out, to my love for psychology and relationships, I want to share how all of these things connect. My goal is to show that overall wellness doesn’t depend on one workout method or one diet, but rather on living a lifestyle where everything works together and positively impacts one another.

I feel so lucky to have grown up in a family that truly values health. My parents have always prioritized taking care of themselves. They work out almost every day, eat whole foods, and are always learning more about how to stay healthy and prevent disease, cancer, and cognitive decline. I feel so grateful to have parents who take their health so seriously and who have modeled that for me my whole life. They have taught me that if you don’t have your health, nothing else really matters. When you are your healthiest self, you can show up as your best self with more energy, clarity, and purpose.

I am also thankful to have brothers who live the same way. My family motivates me to be better every day, and I am so grateful for that. I have always loved being healthy and learning about nutrition and what different foods do for the body, but my real health journey began with my struggle with severe acne. For years, I have gone on and off prescription medications and tried every quick fix I could find, but nothing worked long term. Eventually, I realized none of it was getting to the root cause and some of it was doing more harm than good. That was when I started learning about healing from the inside out through gut health, eating for energy, clear skin, and brain health.

I have also always had a deep love for psychology and understanding behaviour, mindset, and relationships. Even as a kid, I gravitated towards self-help books and personal growth. I think a lot of that comes from my parents, who have always modelled a growth mindset and being a continuous learner. When I went to Washington State University and studied psychology, I found my passion in connecting mental health with physical health. I realized how much your mind and body affect each other. If you are physically healthy, your mental health improves, and if you take care of your mind through gratitude, journaling, and mindset work, your physical health benefits too. It is all connected, yet people do not talk about it enough.

In December 2023, I started my SparkWellness Instagram page to connect those dots and share the importance of mental and physical health and how they work together. I wanted to create a space for others who are on their own wellness journey to learn and grow together. I wanted to show girls in university and in their early 20s that you can start focusing on your health now. It does not have to be extreme or all or nothing. Just as important, I wanted to talk about relationships. I have seen and experienced how much the people in your life, friends, partners, and family, can impact your health both mentally and physically. It all matters.

So if any of this connects with you, I would love for you to follow along and be part of this journey with me. SparkWellness is about creating a healthy, balanced lifestyle for your mental, physical, and emotional health and showing up as the best version of yourself every single day.

Thank you for being here <3
